Fotify Alternative: Which App Should You Choose?
By Samudra · Updated
WeddingPhoto App is a Fotify alternative for private guest photos and videos from $39. Choose Fotify if you also want a live slideshow and invitation tools. Fotify's $29.99 Photo Gallery plan does not include video. Its $49.99 Premium plan does, with clip limits and a longer access period. Both services let guests scan a QR code and upload without an account.
WeddingPhoto App publishes this comparison. We checked official Fotify documentation and pricing, not a paid live event. Fotify prices vary by country; the USD amounts below come from its help documentation.

Which Fotify plan would you actually need?
Free Event: try the guest experience
The free plan allows 50 photos, with a seven-day upload window and seven-day gallery access. Use it to try the upload page and live slideshow, which Fotify calls a carousel. Fifty photos could suit a small gathering, but ten guests contributing five pictures each would fill it. Free photos are reduced for faster display. Downloading the whole album at once requires a paid plan.
Photo Gallery, $29.99: a photo-focused reception
This is a sensible choice if you want pictures on a screen and an album afterward. It includes unlimited photos, an AI filter and downloads of the whole album, with 30-day uploads and 90-day access. You do not need Premium just to collect photos from a large group: the 20-invitation allowance concerns the RSVP system, not the number of photo-sharing guests.
Its main compromise is simple: no video. If you expect guests to send clips of the first dance or speeches, price Premium from the start. WeddingPhoto App Intimate includes both photos and videos for $39, but gives you less collection time and no live slideshow.
Premium Event, $49.99: videos and wedding extras
Premium is the more relevant comparison for a wedding with photos and videos. Alongside 90-day uploads and 365-day access, it adds unlimited invitations, eight albums, your own logo and colors, games and the Echoes voice guestbook. Several people can help approve photos. The voice guestbook and invitation tools are real advantages if you would otherwise buy them separately.
Professional Event, $79.99: shared event management
Professional lets other organizers help manage the event and lets you use your own web address. It includes unlimited albums and credits for 500 emails. It also removes Premium's 100-long-video allowance. For one wedding, upgrade because you need those particular tools, rather than assuming the most expensive plan is necessary. The five-minute limit per long video still applies.
Plan details: Fotify's event setup guide. Its upgrade guide says you pay the difference between plans and keep the existing QR code and album links. Upgrade before your paid event ends: once it is finished, you cannot upgrade it.
The video restriction matters more than the starting price
A short dance-floor clip may fit Premium's 30-second and 80 MB limits. A four-minute toast uses one of its 100 long-video places. A ten-minute speech exceeds the five-minute limit even on Professional. These are examples of how the published limits apply, not upload tests.
If you mainly want photos on a screen, Photo Gallery is a reasonable lower-cost choice. If you want videos too, compare Premium against WeddingPhoto App Intimate, not Fotify's photo-only plan. Try sending one of your own phone videos before choosing.
Easy uploads, with a say in what guests see
Guests can scan a QR code or follow a link and upload in their browser on either service. That makes “no app required” a shared benefit, not a reason on its own to choose WeddingPhoto App over Fotify.
With Fotify, you can approve photos before they appear or let them appear right away and remove any you dislike. Paid plans add an AI filter, and Premium lets several people help review photos. WeddingPhoto App also lets you approve photos first and choose whether guests can view or download them. For more help, see our private wedding photo sharing guide.
If you use approval with a reception screen, ask someone to check the new photos. Otherwise new pictures can wait while everyone assumes they are already on display. An automatic filter cannot decide whether an unflattering but harmless photo belongs on your screen.
Live display, invitations and the total cost
Fotify includes a live slideshow on every plan. Its carousel guide explains the screen setup. If a reception display is the priority, that is a meaningful advantage over WeddingPhoto App Intimate. For a fair photo-and-video comparison with a display, put Fotify Premium at $49.99 beside WeddingPhoto App Celebration at $59.
Check invitation costs separately. Sharing a link or QR code is free, while sending email and SMS invitations uses credits. Premium's unlimited invitations therefore do not mean unlimited paid message delivery. If your invitations are already handled elsewhere, those extras may add little value to your wedding.
Upload deadlines, downloads and keeping the originals
Fotify starts counting your upload days when you start the event, not when you buy it. You can set it up early, then start it when you want guests to send photos. Pausing uploads does not give you extra days. Check two dates in your dashboard: when guests must stop uploading, and when you must finish downloading.
WeddingPhoto App ties its deadlines to the wedding date: Intimate accepts uploads until 15 days afterward and stores media for two months; Celebration extends those to 45 days and six months. Fotify Premium offers more time than either. WeddingPhoto App Forever costs $89 for three events, 180-day post-event uploads and one-year storage.
Fotify's paid plans keep photos at their original resolution, up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels per photo. Both services let you download the collection as a ZIP: one file you can open on your computer to get the photos inside. Whichever you choose, download a sample early and save the complete collection before hosting ends. A long access period is useful breathing room, not a permanent backup.
Our verdict: when to choose each service
Choose Fotify if a reception slideshow, voice messages and invitation tools are central to your plans. Photo Gallery is good value for photos alone; Premium is the stronger wedding bundle when its video limits fit. Its longer collection window is a clear benefit for guests who will upload late.
Choose WeddingPhoto App if you already have your wedding website and invitations and want a dedicated place for guest photos and videos. Intimate costs $10.99 less than Fotify Premium and includes host review and original downloads. That saving comes with shorter deadlines and no slideshow. There is also no free collection plan.
To collect your guests' photos and videos in one place, compare WeddingPhoto App's Intimate, Celebration and Forever plans. Choose enough time for your guests to send their files. If you also want a slideshow, invitations and games, consider Fotify Premium.
