Printing tips

Wedding table number ideas you can make here

Start with Classic frame for a formal reception, Garden sprigs for soft greens, or Modern arch for a simple, rounded border. The examples above come from the generator, so the design you choose is the one you can actually download.

Names can make the tables feel more personal: cities you have visited, favorite walks, or places from your story. Keep the number beside the name and use the same labels on your wedding seating chart. Guests should not have to guess whether “Paris” is table 4.

Which printable size should you choose?

  • 4 × 6 inches: a compact card for a photo frame or a small stand.
  • 5 × 7 inches: more space for a large number and an optional photo QR code.
  • A6 (105 × 148 mm): a smaller metric card. Check the holder's opening before printing.
  • A5 (148 × 210 mm): useful when you want a larger sign that is easier to spot.

The PDF fits two 4 × 6, 5 × 7, or A6 cards on each A4 or US Letter sheet, and one A5 card per sheet. Some cards are rotated on the sheet to fit. Each finished card stays upright when cut out. These are flat, single-sided cards, not folding tent cards.

How to make table numbers for your wedding

  1. Count your reception tables and choose 1–50 cards. The generator numbers them in order, starting at 1.
  2. Pick a template and card size. Match the lettering and colors to your stationery, keeping the number easy to read.
  3. Add names if you want them. Choose a table in the preview to check its card.
  4. Select your printer's paper size and download the PDF. Print one test sheet before making the full set.

How to print and cut your table cards

Open the PDF and choose 100% or actual size. Select the same A4 or Letter paper you chose in the generator, turn off duplex printing, and avoid “fit to page,” which can shrink the cards. The artwork has at least 0.35 inches of space from the sheet edge; check that this fits your printer's printable area.

Use matte cardstock that your printer can handle. Check its paper-weight limit before buying a pack, or take the PDF to a print shop. Trim at the small cut marks, then measure the first card against your frame or stand. There is no extra bleed area for commercial printing, so ask a print shop to keep the finished dimensions.

Place each number above low flowers or beside taller arrangements, facing the route guests take into the room. Print a second copy of each sheet if you need cards facing both directions.

Table numbers with a wedding photo QR code

A table card is a handy place to invite guests to share the photos they take during dinner. Switch on the QR option, paste your gallery's guest upload link, and add a short request such as “Share your wedding photos.” The card works just as well without it.

The code prints in black on white with a clear border, regardless of your card colors. Scan a printed card with two phones before printing the rest, and check that a guest can reach the right page without an organizer login. Avoid glossy covers that throw reflections over the code.

If you still need somewhere for those uploads to go, the WeddingPhoto App photo QR guide explains the gallery setup. A hosted gallery is a separate purchase; the table numbers and PDF stay free.
