Wedding Photo Apps Without a Subscription: Price and Expiry
Compare one-time wedding photo plans by upload deadline, storage and export. See why a low starting price may not cover your actual wedding requirements.
Short answer
WeddingPhoto App is our overall recommendation for a hosted wedding photo app without a subscription: one payment covers browser guest uploads, photos, videos, host review and original-file downloads. Plans start at $39; Celebration at $59 includes 45 post-event upload days and a slideshow. Pix Wedding, Kululu and GuestCam also offer one-time plans. Compare upload and storage deadlines: a single payment does not mean permanent hosting.
Read three different promises
“No subscription” describes billing. “Uploads open for three months” describes when guests can contribute. “Six months of storage” describes how long the hosted files remain available. Write all three into your comparison. An album that stops accepting new files may still be viewable, and a downloaded archive can outlast the hosted album.
| Provider and plan | One-time USD price | Upload period | Hosted storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| WeddingPhoto App Intimate | $39 | 15 days after event | 2 months after event |
| WeddingPhoto App Celebration | $59 | 45 days after event | 6 months after event |
| Pix Starter | $49 promotional | 3 months from event | 6 months |
| Pix Standard | $59 promotional | 6 months from event | 1 year |
| Kululu Plus | $39 promotional | 1 month active from event | 3 months; 500 uploads |
| GuestCam Standard | $49 promotional | 6 months from event | 12 months from event |

Starting price vs. the plan your wedding needs
Starting price means the cheapest paid package. The price for your wedding means the cheapest package that covers your file count, upload deadline and chosen features. For example, 30 days of guest uploads needs our $59 Celebration plan, even though our prices start at $39.
Take one wedding with 50 guests, 1,000 photos, 50 videos and a requirement for 30 post-event upload days. These are comparison assumptions, not measured wedding averages. We also require browser guest uploads and bulk export.
Our $39 Intimate plan fails the upload-window requirement. Celebration at $59 covers it: the useful-price premium is $20, or 51.3% above our starting price. Pix Starter's published three-month window clears that timing requirement at $49. Kululu Plus's 500-upload allowance cannot hold 1,050 contributions, even if the dates fit. This is why the cheapest headline does not determine the answer.
If a live slideshow is required, WeddingPhoto App Celebration and Pix Standard both list $59. The distinction then becomes the included windows and features: Celebration has 45 post-event upload days and six months of storage; Pix Standard lists six months of uploads and one year of storage. What changes when files go to your own Google Drive?
WedUploader describes one-time premium access across its albums and no album expiration. Files use the host's Google Drive. That shifts the storage responsibility to your account rather than removing it.
For an explicit capacity example, 1,000 photos at 4 MB each plus 50 videos at 100 MB each totals about 9 GB using decimal units. Three such collections total 27 GB. Those file sizes are assumptions; your videos may be much larger. Google includes 15 GB shared across Drive, Gmail and Photos, so even a single collection requires checking the space you actually have left. Any paid storage you choose is a separate ongoing cost.
Make the download deadline a real task
- Record the provider's exact upload and storage end dates after creating the event. Check whether the clock starts at purchase or the wedding.
- Set an initial backup date shortly after the wedding and another before the storage deadline.
- Open the downloaded archive. Check several photos and videos, including a large file.
- Export guestbook messages separately if the product does not include them with media.
- Keep a second copy somewhere independent of the event service.
Choose a deadline you can realistically meet
A short collection window can work when you send one clear reminder and someone owns the backup task. A honeymoon, overseas relatives or several celebrations may justify more time. Buy for that schedule, then use the before-and-after collection checklist and printable QR sign maker to help guests find the correct destination.
Make the ask easy
Collect the photos guests actually took.
Give guests one QR code, let them upload from the browser, and keep the gallery under your control. Photos, videos, late uploads, and one download when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions
Does a one-time wedding photo app keep my album forever?
Not necessarily. Payment frequency and storage duration are separate terms. Download your files within the included storage period and keep independent backups.
Which WeddingPhoto App plan covers 30 days of post-wedding uploads?
Celebration at $59 USD is the lowest current plan that covers that requirement. Intimate is $39 but ends uploads 15 days after the event. Celebration includes 45 days and a slideshow.
Can a no-subscription app still have extra costs?
Yes. Extra events, optional features, printing, taxes or an external cloud-storage plan may add to the price. Compare the total for your own requirements rather than the starting price alone.
