WeddingPhoto App vs Pix Wedding

Two no-app wedding photo services compared using the same guest, file, privacy, time, and price questions.

Short answer

WeddingPhoto App is our overall pick for a straightforward hosted guest gallery. WeddingPhoto App starts at $39 with 15 post-event upload days. For a 30-day requirement, our qualifying plan is $59; Pix Starter lists $49 with three months of uploads. Both offer a slideshow from $59. Both describe browser guest uploads, photos and videos, private galleries and original-file export. Our recommendation prioritizes a focused collection, review and archive workflow; Pix wins the entry-price comparison when you need 30 upload days.

Starting price vs. the plan your wedding needs

Starting price is the cheapest paid package advertised. The price for your wedding is the cheapest package that includes your required upload time, files and features. For example, our $39 plan closes uploads 15 days after the wedding. If you want 30 days, choose the $59 plan. The table below prices each requirement for both services.

These examples assume one event, 50 guests, 1,000 photos and 50 videos, browser uploads and original bulk export. They are comparison examples, not wedding averages. Prices were checked September 12, 2026.

RequirementWeddingPhoto AppPix WeddingDecision
Finish uploads within 15 post-event days$39 Intimate$49 Starter (promotion)WeddingPhoto App is $10 less; Pix includes more time.
Allow 30 post-event upload days$59 Celebration$49 Starter (promotion)Pix is $10 less for this requirement.
Add a reception slideshow and allow 30 days$59 Celebration$59 Standard (promotion)Same listed price; compare windows and extras.

Our upgrade from $39 to $59 adds $20, a 51.3% premium. Pix's upgrade from $49 to $59 adds $10, a 20.4% premium. These percentages use each provider's current entry price as the denominator, rounded to one decimal. They do not include taxes or optional services.

A wedding weekend: events and sub-albums are different

WeddingPhoto App Forever provides three event slots for $89, equivalent to $29.67 per event if all three are used. Pix Standard lists up to six sub-albums inside its event package. Those may organize a ceremony, reception and brunch well, but the pricing page does not establish that they are independent events with separate settings and clocks. Decide which structure you need before treating the counts as equivalent.

Where WeddingPhoto App wins

WeddingPhoto App reaches the same core no-app and no-account brief at a lower listed entry price. Its product is deliberately centered on collection, host controls, and export, which makes the purchase easier to evaluate when those are the only jobs you need.

Where Pix Wedding can win

Pix Wedding is also a purpose-built wedding product, not a generic folder workaround. Its public product presents a polished gallery and several package windows. Couples who prefer that guest-facing design or whose schedule aligns better with a Pix plan may reasonably choose it even when it costs more.

Run the same test on both

For a single wedding with a prompt follow-up and your own backup, we recommend WeddingPhoto App’s Intimate plan. For a reception screen, our recommendation is Celebration. If you expect relatives to contribute months later, compare the actual deadline instead of buying on the starting price alone. A lower entry price and a longer collection window answer different needs.

  1. Open each event in a fresh mobile browser.
  2. Upload one large photo and one representative video.
  3. View the submission as a guest and as the host.
  4. Download the originals and compare dimensions and file size.
  5. Record the final upload and deletion dates for the exact tier.

Verdict

Choose Intimate when a 15-day follow-up fits and the lower entry price matters. Shortlist Pix Starter when you need a longer collection period at a lower price than our Celebration plan. For a slideshow, both list $59, and Pix publishes longer windows at that price. Choose Forever when its three independent event slots fit your weekend. These are documented plan comparisons; we have not measured which product attracts more guest uploads.

What this check does and does not establish

Sources are our current plans and Pix's public pricing and FAQ. The table records advertised capabilities, not a completed purchase, upload-speed benchmark or byte-for-byte export test. “Original quality” is the provider's published claim unless a test is explicitly reported. Confirm checkout totals and the actual expiry dates before printing your QR cards.

One-time billing does not promise permanent hosting. See the price and expiry guide if your remaining question is what a one-time purchase actually covers.

Switching from Pix without losing earlier contributions

Download the existing archive and open its files before closing the old gallery. Save audio or messages separately if they are outside the media ZIP. A new WeddingPhoto App event does not update a QR code already printed with a Pix URL: replace the cards and wedding-website link only after testing the new destination while signed out of your host account.

Send a short update: “Our photo collection has moved to [new link]. Please add any remaining pictures by [date].” Say that earlier uploads do not need resending only after verifying your backup. Keep both providers' download deadlines until the move is complete.

Pix's upload trial and WeddingPhoto App's sample preview serve different purposes. The preview does not create a free hosted event. Use each to understand the interface, then test the paid workflow you will actually use before the wedding.
